Poem: How many breaths you take

"The mystery behind the dates of how many breaths you take. It ain't promised, it ain't forgiven, all the time you have been given. So take the time to show your love, and appreciate it greatly from above. Down here on Earth, is what we are living, but don't sweat it too long, for soon we'll be leaving. Take every breath of this circus and show it had a true purpose. For tomorrow who knows, it just very well may be our last chorus, and regardless, you wouldn't want to be thought of as worthless. No, you don't want to be thought of as pompous, nor tireless, just given the respect of what you truly encompassed."Nadia Huckeba

Heartbroken

Heartbroken and saddened yet the show must go on. So, aside from being heartbroken, I lost my soul Tonite as well. Literally! I was walking around high school campus-ya, lost my soul! I can't Believe it's HIGH SCHOOL!) with my family and My nice $700 Hogan Boots, the whole rubber soul Just fell off! Uhh! So, bend down, look around, and pick it up! I squeamishly look to my left, then to my right. Anyone looking? Bend down really fast and rescue it! Good thing I used my large Satchel Marc Jacobs Purse tonite! Had I used my usual, smaller 'DB' or Santana purse, I would've been needing to Carry it like an Iphone--in my hand! I had stepped wrong getting out of the car, and So yes, the rubber had become unglued, but I certainly didn't think it would embarrass Me @my Alma Mater! It didn't matter how Stylish I tried to look&how many compliments I got on them tonite--they obviously didn't Notice the $700 pair of shoes, lose Their souls too! I had lost my soul, as did my beloved Hogan boots-boo hoo! Hey, at least we were together and I still have it's soul! My soul has fallen And I'm trying to 're-glue' it back! My Hogan's have no soul! Literally! Where can I get them repaired? Be well out there...

Women and Chicken

A weird though came to me last night-or Shall I say, 'early morning!' There are so many similarities in nature. Women are oftentimes unfairly compared to A whole slew of animals/ objects. However, this time, I don't know how or why, "Women are like Chicken." What? Yes, "Women are like Chicken!" We squawk. (Go get the clothes out of the dryer!) Our feathers get ruffled.(Why did you put my dry clean Only' shirt in the dryer!?) We make eggs.(Do you want your eggs scrambled, over easy..?) We lay eggs.(Yay, I got my period this month!) The best parts are the breast.("I like breasts," he says!) The best parts are the thighs.(She has great curves/thighs!) The best parts are the legs.(She has beautiful legs!) We're bright eyed and bushy tailed.(Golly, It's a fashion show and we're just dropping off our kids at school!) We fly the coop.(oh yes we do! Either to get away...or to get with!) We run like a chicken with our heads cut off!(I've got to go to dry cleaners, pick up something for kids bake sale Tomorrow, I've got to go to post office, go watch Tyler's baseball game Shit, first I need gas! But, I need to get some money from ATM-cuz YOU KNOW you're not supposed to use your ATM at gas stations! Aaahh-do all of this in time to pick up the kids from school and make It to Tyler's baseball game! "But, ah, I'm ok!" And then, some of us ARE chicken! Nadia Huckeba

2nd grade Kids homework

So, what am I supposed to do with an over zealous Child, who's eager to learn, yet 'doesn't' read...yet? It's a tire some task to read through all of the Assignments my 2nd grader is required to complete. It's beyond grueling! Hours after hours, days after days and now, Week after week, it's grueling. From the work book pages, to the print outs, to the Assigned reading, to the silent reading book, To the writing assignments, to the lesson's learned/ Achieved. Oh wait, but that's not all! There's still like 5 websites that have to be met! Remember, my lil 7 year old doesn't read! It's disheartening that her mind just blocks It out! She has no desire to fulfill her reading Level. Her world is 'learning' but OTHER things! She's the creative learner. She wants to perform and dance and sing and act and play make believe. Conveying to her that she must meet her obligations Is irrelevant. Not to me, but to her! No amount of threatening and punishment has changed The situation for the better! She cries and get's frustrated. She groans and moans. Then I groan and moan! Aaahhh! I wanna pull my hair out! Phew, then it's done!she finished her last sheet On Reading Comprehension! So, I'm done with this week and yet another series Is before us... Moaning and Groaning I finish... Be well

Insomniacs

Because it is just before 2 am, I ask myself, "what does being human mean?" Well, because we are human, as a species, it does mean Different things to 'different people'-those who are "Droids." I've had my fair share of them. It's 'fun' to be an insomniac! So much deeper thinking sets in before sleep ever can! Do you have such 'deep thoughts' with yourself? At least we care to delve into deeper topics. Don't even get me started, "if god/God exists!" So, instead of that, I lighten my own load with Human existence. We all want to progress, some more than others, and Some have their own creative ways in which they believe They will attain it. I on the other hand, believe in "tire gunk" or elbow grease." So, motto to self: "it's ok to use elbow grease." I actually need, "elbow lard!" So, as I finish my 2nd draft on my play...only 500 More to go! And, because I am 15% human, I think I'll go to bed now. But, Because I am a 'writer', bed and sleep are antonyms. As are human and droids. Sleep is welcomed, yet will come in due time. Just don't know 'when.' Do you sleep? I do, when I'm not writing. Which is, Never! Sweet Dreams to all, Insomniacs.

Alien nation?

So, this really didn't happen, BUT our nations 'ARE PREPARED', so don't fear

Alien nation? No, I'm not referring to our Nation with 'illegal alien insinuations', rather literal Space Aliens.

How to fight an 'A-symmetric war?'
Hmm, and I'm not particularly fond of speaking of unknown things beyond my intelligence.
I'm dealing with my own 'A-symmetrical war', as my hubby is watching National Geographic channel.

Did you know there was an 'International office of Protocol' for contact with aliens? Well, neither did I! UN committee.
Supposedly our government is monitoring them.
5000 miles above the Earth, this is being monitored.
Communication happenes in a sequence of prime numbers-communication via a universal language.
So, are you weak minded? Do you believe in any of the above that I shared with you? Well, not that your weak minded or not, this is all that was shared via National Geographic, as a 'hypothetical/possibility of an Alien attack on our nation.
Interesting, huh?
Remember, this is all hypothetical...
Continue to Be human and help one another out...
Be well

Another fun filled day

As I lie here 'resting', I'm taken back to another fun filled day in our household.
Another day of spontaneous 'fun' (adventure in other households) in our household, yay!
So, last Monday, the 7th of November was an event I had much anticipated on attending.
This event is special for my mother, and so it was my birthday present to her.
It was a night of being with Pedro Almodovar and Antonio Banderas, at the Mann's Chinese Theatre, in celebrating with him his screening of one of his films, starring Antonio Banderas from 1987, I believe.
So, as many of my days go,I prepare ahead for my children to stay content and so, I go through a series of things to do such.
Wrapping up, just before we are to depart, I see my elder daughter scratching away at her scalp. This weather is ruthless to the scalp! Dry scalp=itchy head, right? Ya, so I thought! It's lice! ICK! Disgusting! Gross! Totally normal. That's it you may say to my disgust! So, my moral is brought down to reality, as I'm panicked about time, traffic and what about rain+making it in time to pick up my mother, before heading to LA, UHH!
Ya, another fun filled day, huh! Running through a slew of fast typed, mispelt info online and the info still came through! I grab my keys and head to the local pharmacy, at like 30 mins to spare before I'm due to head out!
I'm 'dressed' ya, but running around with slippers(I forgot I was wearing them, til I'm standing in line and happened to look down!)
So, as I stand in line with like an arsenal of 'anti whatever's', a granny looks at me, 'Lice, huh?' Go put that poison back. Grab a narrow tooth comb and wrap the head with dish soap, then apply mayo, leave a plastic bag on overnight, end of lice...This time! My kids, each of the 10 had to go through this many times over, until I shaved the boys' head.'
She began to share with me her tale, with such detail I could include it into a step by step recipe. I'm outta breath, thanking her, run back home and begin the process. My daughter rides with us to LA, bag on her hair.
Aroma of dish soap and mayo...what a yummy combination!
And another yummy combination: Almodovar+Banderas!
What a thrill I lived that day.
Another fun filled day in my life!

By the way, round 2 of 'another fun filled day' includes what happened with Antonio at the Chinese Theatre!
Oh, what a fun filled day it was indeed!
